Kakapo Artwork

As part of this term's inquiry 'I te Ngahere' (Down in the bush) Room 3 have been busy learning about the Kakapo and are intrigued by them sleeping all day and looking for their food at night. We have learnt that this means that the night parrot is nocturnal.

We have looked at the Artist Shane Hansen and getting inspiration of the koru patterns and swirls in his artworks to complete the background of our artwork.
